Canale Communications Honored with 11 Awards at PRSA’s Annual Edward L. Bernays Ceremony

Leading strategic life sciences communications firm recognized for excellence in Media Relations, Website Development and Brand Management by Southern California PR awards program

SAN DIEGOOct. 13, 2017 — Canale Communications Inc., an award-winning life science communications firm, has been honored with 11 awards from Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Edward L. Bernays Awards, the Southern California public relations industry’s annual celebration of excellence. The agency was honored in the categories of Media Relations, Reputation/Brand Management, Websites, Integrated Communications, Social Media, Investor Relations and Editorials/OpEd Columns.

Named after Edward L. Bernays, a man commonly referred to as the “father of public relations,” the awards recognize the collective accomplishments of agencies and organizations in the San Diego and Imperial counties. The awards are divided into two categories: Silver, honoring entire public relations campaigns, and Bronze, honoring PR tactics. Members of the of the West Michigan PRSA Chapter judged all award entries.

Of the 11 awards received, Canale Communications was honored with four Silver awards and seven Bronze Awards, ultimately winning “Best in Show” for Reputation/Brand Management on behalf of work for Johnson & Johnson Innovation. The agency also swept the Bronze Media Relations category, being recognized for work done for Eidos and Synthetic Genomics, and Lovelace Biomedical and Xencor’s websites were both honored Bronze awards for Websites.
