As the senior director of content development, Deborah pushes the envelope on new ways to engage with client stories while also creating content designed to meet specific publishers’ needs.
Prior to joining Canale, Deborah hailed from the San Francisco Bay Area, with a long career as an award-winning writer and producer, creating content in STEM, medicine and entertainment. Her work has covered such diverse topics as pediatric and adult cancer, palliative care, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, algebra, biology, astronomy, environmental sustainability and game design.
Deborah is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Writer’s Guild of America, and the Producers Guild of America where she served as a new media council board delegate for seven years. She is also a founding board member of the nonprofit Girls S.T.E.A.M. Institute.
Deborah holds a Master in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins University, with an undergraduate degree in business from Indiana University.
Deborah is a passionate foodie, jazz singer, ardent traveler, and major fan of comedy, film, and live entertainment. She loves surrounding herself with books, books, and more books, and is an author of several books including an algebra book.
