Jason is a trusted advisor and chief communications consultant for biotech and life sciences companies. He has nearly 20 years of experience spanning corporate communications, investor relations and public relations for startups as well as for commercial-stage public companies. He has led corporate communications, investor communications, IPO and M&A communications and crisis communications programs, and has spearheaded successful media campaigns around data, FDA approvals and product launches.

Jason was a founding member of CanaleComm in 2010. Prior to CanaleComm, Jason held multiple positions within Porter Novelli’s life science practice, most recently as vice president. Jason started his career in biotech communications in 2000 at Atkins + Associates, which was acquired by Porter Novelli in 2006. Since 2017, Jason has served as president of NIRI San Diego, the local chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute, helping IR practitioners connect and learn about solving public company issues. Jason holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego, where he earned a major in biology and a minor in economics.

An avid skier, baseball fanatic and aspiring wood craftsman, Jason cherishes the journey in each of these adventures as much as the destination.
